1-Day Workshop // 9am-12pm Saturday, April 14                                       *rain date April 21st

Using Styrofoam board as the primary pattern material, participants will create their own relief pattern for a sculpture that will be cast in iron during the Spring Iron Pour Event, happening later that evening. In this 3-hour workshop, visiting artist Kyle Lusk will review the process of cupola iron casting and the materials needed. Then he'll walk you through creating an additive and subtractive sand mold and preparing it for the Iron Pour. Come back after sunset to watch your mold filled with 2,900°F+ melted iron during GoggleWorks' Spring Iron Pour, co-presented with Albright College.
