GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, with Wickline Casting, presents Intro to TV Hosting and Anchoring. This unique partnership offers students the opportunity to focus on their interest in the news and entertainment world. In this specialized class, campers will have their hands in each step of the news process—from researching stories to writing copy, delivering on-camera reports and working under deadline—just like the pros. Working in teams, campers will experience behind the scenes and in front of the camera, working as hosts, reporters, camera operators, and directors. Special projects include talk shows, sports announcing, weather, consumer reports, medical reports, field and traffic reporting, and TV hosting in music, entertainment, cooking, decorating, and home shopping formats.
All equipment is included. Campers have the opportunity to purchase a USB with all of their footage, professionally edited, as a keepsake.

Casting Director Kathy Wickline has created several original and industry-geared specialty programs including camps, classes, and workshops. Kathy Wickline holds over 10,000 credits including Academy Award winning feature films, commercials, and TV shows. Learn what it takes to work in this exciting and competitive industry while spending time in front of and behind the camera. All courses are taught by industry professionals.
