Contemporary botanical art is a thriving genre, with active groups all around the world. Learn about the history of this art form as we explore drawing and watercolor painting of flowers, plants, leaves, pods, and more from the natural world. Capture your subject's essence and gesture while learning basic drawing skills using graphite. Move on to watercolors, a favorite medium of botanical artists, used in a refined and deliberate way. Art meets science in this class for all levels of experience.

GoggleWorks Center for the Arts is a 145,000 square foot, five-story community arts center located in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania. The former safety goggle factory was reimagined into a thriving complex which includes seven large teaching studios, juried-in artist studios, exhibition galleries, classrooms, film theatre, and store.
